Learning To Let Go

Dragonfly 2

Life is full of having to let go.

Letting go when someone we love dies.
Letting go when dreams and plans are, in our eyes, ruined.
Letting go when we have no more control over a situation or person.
Letting go when something we treasure is ruined.
Letting go when someone walks out of our life.

But having to let go is often troubling. It’s something that we have no control over, and things we have no control over scare us.

What’s troubling you?

Can you give Him whatever it is you need to let go of?
Can you take it, and put it in God’s Hand?
Whether it’s someone who’s gone, shredded plans and dreams, a situation or circumstances beyond your control, pain, hurt, fear, a friend you love so much, or someone you have to say goodbye to?

Surrender it, let it go.
You will feel the relief and the peace because He has it.

Sometimes when it’s time to let something or someone go, we don’t. We mentally “hold on” – but rather than us hanging on, it’s that thing or person holding us.
Holding us back, bringing us down, and keeping us in bondage.
We have to let go.

There’s a song that says;

Learning to lean,
Learning to lean,
I’m learning to lean on Jesus,
Finding more power,
Than I ever dreamed,
I’m learning to lean on Jesus.

Learning to lean – to trust, to have faith, to surrender, to give everything over to Him.
Learning to let go.
Let go, and let God.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
