Hi – I’m Emily!
Just a crazy southern country girl.
A lot of people call me “deep”, a “free spirit”.
That’s me – very visionary and artsy in personality type.
I’m always feeling, and always thinking, always looking at life and trying to see everything in it clearly.
And testifying to my visionary personality are all the things I’m good at and enjoy –
designing, (Clothes and accessories – whether sewing, crocheting, or beading.)
which are all an art form, and sort of a way to communicate.
This is where my stuff lies.
Some random loves of mine are: chocolate, summer nights, books and tea, running, long jean skirts, cooking, wide open spaces and places, horses, sweaters, shawls, and shrugs, talking, boots, smoothies, dogs, pocket knives, necklaces, working with animals, Celtic/Irish/Scottish music, plaid snappy shirts, aforementioned art, eggs and biscuits, gypsy skirts, and I’m a guy when it comes to cars and trucks.
Some crazy dreams of mine are: to work with horses, to someday go out west, to find my cowboy, and to take a mission trip to Africa.
But what has meant the most to me since I was saved a couple years ago, and is my number one goal (regardless of everything and anything else) is to know, love, be like, and serve the Lord – more and more every day.
I love this quote:
……..”there are to be found….persons whose lives are marked by a growing hunger after God Himself. They are eager for spiritual realities and will not be put off with words, nor will they be content with correct “interpretations” of truth. They are athirst for God, and they will not be satisfied till they have drunk deep at the Fountain of Living Water.
……Current evangelicalism has….laid the altar and divided the sacrifice into parts, but now seems satisfied to count the stones and rearrange the pieces with never a care that there is not a sign of fire upon the top of lofty Caramel.
They are those who, while they love the altar and delight in the sacrifice, are yet unable to reconcile themselves to the continued absence of fire. They desire God above all. They are athirst to taste for themselves the “piercing sweetness” of the love of Christ……
……that they may enter into Him, that they may delight in His presence, may taste and know the inner sweetness of the very God himself in the core and center of their hearts.
……if my fire is not large it is yet real”……
No matter what else, to walk with the Lord, to be an inspiration and an encouragement, and to leave a legacy, that’s what I’m going for.
